A few years ago, I moved to West County with my wife and our young son. Surrounded by forests, orchards, winding backroads, and an extraordinary community of growers, makers, artists, and caretakers, I found myself asking a simple question: How does a place become home?
The more time I spent here, the more I realized the answer wasn't hidden in guidebooks or found at famous landmarks. It lived in conversations over tea, in gardens tended through the seasons, in bees rescued from old barns, in seeds passed from one generation to the next, and in the quiet work of people who have built a relationship with this land over many years.
